Fourth Squad Detectives report the Arrest of an Inwood man for an incident that occurred on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 5:20 PM in Inwood.
According to Detectives, police were responding for a complaint regarding a violation of social distancing at Yeshiva Ketana of Long Island children’s camp after a call was made by defendant Nicola Pelle, 58, of 333 Doughty Boulevard, Inwood. While police were en route the defendant, Nicola Pelle called again and threatened to get a gun and shoot the individuals at the location if the police didn’t get there. During the investigation, the defendant identified himself as the caller and he was placed under arrest without incident. Subsequent to the arrest, defendant Pelle was found to possess a valid Nassau County Pistol Permit, five handguns, and rifles and shotguns which included two assault weapons. All weapons were seized as evidence.
The defendant, Nicola Pelle has been charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, four counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm. He will be arraigned on August 18, 2020 in Mineola
