Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg made history Today as the first woman, and first Jewish person to lie in state at the US Capitol.
Her casket was on public view on the steps of the Supreme Court before it was taken by hearse on a short procession across the street Friday morning for the private remembrance with elected officials, family and other guests.
An honor guard carried her flag-draped coffin up the steps of the Capitol and into the Statuary Hall.
